Half-hourly energy analysis for UK businesses
Your electricity meter records what your building uses every half hour, including every hour you’re closed. WattGuard reads a year of that data and shows what those empty hours cost you, in pounds, at your own tariff.

The cost of closed hours
Most buildings never fully switch off. None of it appears as a separate line on your bill, so nobody sees it. It's there in your meter data, every half hour.
Heating, cooling and ventilation still timed for opening hours that changed years ago.
Kitchen, bar and AV equipment left idling overnight.
Bank holidays and the Christmas shutdown, with everything running as if it were a Tuesday.
How it works
01
Download 12 months of half-hourly data from your supplier's website and email it to me. Tell me who your supplier is and I'll send step-by-step instructions. If you get stuck, send a screenshot and I'll talk you through it.
02
I separate the hours your building is in use from the hours it isn't, and price each half-hour at the rate that applied to it. That's 17,520 half-hours per meter, per year.
03
What your building draws when it's closed, what that costs a year, and where to start. Every figure traces back to the half-hours it came from. Within 2 working days of your file arriving.
I find it. I price it. You fix it.
No disruption
ZERO works on data your meter already records.
Everything is done remotely.
No letter of authority. You send your own data.
Keep your current contract.
I'm not a broker, and I earn nothing from energy suppliers.

What you get
No black box and no guesswork. Each pound in the report links to the readings behind it, so you, your finance director or your auditor can check it.

Why WattGuard
Your supplier's account shows how much you used. A dashboard shows a line. Neither tells you what the hours you're closed are costing, or where to start.

Who it's for
Kitchen extraction and dishwashers running long after service. Function rooms heated with nobody booked.
Clubhouse heating and hot water through the night. Bar and catering kit on standby between shifts.
Saunas and steam rooms heating after the last session. Pool hall plant with no night setback.
Gallery lighting, AV and interactives left on. Offices and front of house heated on dark days.
Every site costed the same way, so you can see which ones run hot overnight.
Some of it has to stay on: cellar cooling, collections care, security. The report shows what runs while you’re closed and what it costs, so you can decide what doesn’t need to.
Who you'll deal with
WattGuard is an independent practice. The person who reads your data, runs the analysis and writes your report is the person you speak to. If your building is already well run, I'll tell you, in writing.

Pricing
Every building is different, so the price depends on the site and what the analysis is likely to be worth. Tell me about yours and I'll give you a figure up front.
Quick check
Three numbers and you'll have a rough figure.
Find your lowest half-hour reading overnight and double it. 6 kWh in a half-hour = 12 kW.
Open 10:00–17:00 every day = 119 closed hours.
It's on your bill.
£15,470
a year spent on power while you’re closed
This is what your closed hours cost, not a savings estimate. Some of it has to stay on. The audit shows how much, costed at the rate that applied to each half-hour.
